Process paper
The Emancipation Proclamation sounded exciting to me and that why I choose it. Leading up to that I choose the Emancipation Proclamation because I want to do something I am going to enjoy also I was doing the civil war but I needed to choose an event from the civil war to do. The Emancipation Proclamation stood out to me because I like hearing about freedom and how happy all of the African Americans where. Also because it was a little easier then the topic I had before. I researched it a lot at school because I don’t have a lot of time at home to work on it, with all of the math, English, MIT-e homework plus practicing the violin and sports. I need to find more time at home to do it because I don’t want to fail. I really struggled at finding information about it because most of the websites where too hard for me to understand. I picked a website because it thought it would be cool to have my own website and I would think it is a cool project to work on. I like to be on other people’s websites and I am excited about it and i would want people to be excited about being on mine. I also want it to be easy for people to find information on that topic without having to look and look and look. I don’t want to be working on a project that I don’t like working on because I don’t want to be bored. Being bored on a project makes you stressed because you don’t know if you like it and you want to switch your topic then it’s too late and it makes you so stressed. I am already stressed enough plus you spend a whole lot of time researching a topic you don’t want to do when you could have been smart and choose something you would like to do and something that would make you excited about working on. When you are excited about working on a project then you want to make it the best then you want to work on it all the time and it looks the best. I learned something new when I decided to do this topic, I learned that not all of the slaves where immediately freed. Only the slaves in the south where free when Abraham Lincoln singed the Emancipation Proclamation because at the time he was president and he didn’t want to make the people in the north to get angry and kick him out of office. I also learned that when the Emancipation Proclamation was singed it aloud the African Americans to join the union forces. So I picked this topic because I love to learn about this, I researched it mostly at school, I picked a website because I thought it would be fun to do, and I learned that not all of the slaves where immediately free. So that is how it all came together.
